Résumé
It represents a civilizational and human heritage that reflects the history of societies as well as their architectural specificity. Its preservation is a collective responsibility towards future generations, insofar as it embodies an essential part of cultural identity.
Our study, entitled: "The Urban Heritage of Mazouna in the Wilaya of Relizane – Between Preservation and Degradation", focuses on analyzing the current state of this heritage, balancing efforts of conservation with signs of deterioration. With this in mind, we conducted an inventory of the main elements of the urban heritage of the city of Mazouna, followed by an evaluative study of their state of conservation. This analysis helps to identify the causes of the observed degradation in certain sites and to consider appropriate solutions to ensure a balanced management between heritage conservation and contemporary urban development.
