- ItemTHE ROLE OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP IN REDUCING EMPLOYEE BURNOUT AND FOSTERING A CULTURE OF WELL-BEING(2025-06) ADJALI Mouhamed AbdelillahThis study investigates the impact of transformational leadership on employee burnout and workplace well-being within a private-sector Algerian enterprise, SARL Rodane. Grounded in the positivist paradigm and adopting a quantitative cross-sectional design, data were collected from all 40 employees of the organization during the period April–May 2025 using a structured self-administered questionnaire. Four validated scales were employed to measure transformational leadership (adapted MLQ-5X), employee burnout (adapted MBI-GS), workplace well-being, and job satisfaction. Data were analyzed using reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression via IBM SPSS Statistics Version 32. The findings reveal that transformational leadership exerts a statistically significant positive effect on both workplace well-being (β = .489, p = .001) and job satisfaction (β = .535, p = .002), accounting for approximately 24% and 29% of variance in these outcomes respectively. The relationship between transformational leadership and employee burnout was negative and in the expected direction (β = −.296), though it did not reach conventional statistical significance (p = .064), likely attributable to the limited sample size and the moderating influence of structural and cultural factors characteristic of the Algerian private sector. These results are broadly consistent with the international literature and contribute original empirical evidence from an underrepresented organizational and cultural context.
