- ItemL’Absentéisme comme Indicateur du Quiet Quitting : Analyse du Désengagement au Travail Cas : L’entreprise NAFTAL district carburant Tiaret(2025) SEGHIER BouchraThis study aims to analyze the relationship between work Absenteeism and quiet quitting within the company Naftal – Fuel Distribution District of Tiaret, in the context of growing signs of professional disengagement in organizations. The main research question is : To what extent can absenteeism be considered an indicator of quiet quitting, and what are the explanatory factors behind this behavior in the organizational context ? To answer this question, we adopted a mixed approach combining theoretical insights and empirical fieldwork, through surveys distributed to employees and semi-structured interviews conducted with HR managers. The results revealed that absenteeism and quiet quitting represent two distinct forms of professional withdrawal, although they share common explanatory factors such as : task monotony, lack of recognition, low motivation, and relational tensions. However, statistical analysis did not demonstrate a significant correlation between the two phenomena, thus supporting the hypothesis of their relative independence. The study recommends implementing integrated HR management approaches that consider both visible and invisible signs of disengagement, to promote a healthier, more engaging work environment.
